At a certain point, becoming an influencer or using social media platforms as a means of earning income is becoming a trend among the age group you call Gen Z. And of course, people outside the age group born after 1997 also use social media platforms as a source of income. Those who are more famous in a certain field from a young age will earn money faster, and for me, the majority of their income that makes their economy sufficient comes from that channel. You are correct as it has become a trending means for earning income by most Gen Z. Becoming a social media influencer is one easy way to make money through online followers, gathering much social media followers by providing something interesting to the target audience, and you don't need to have a school degree to rise to that station but just raw talent and smartness on how to go about it. The internet actually did change a lot in the way this generation thinks which can't be compared to older gen... I see examples of this in my country, and if we conduct broader research, earning income through social media platforms, especially YouTube, is like a job that cannot be taken lightly. For me, if it has become a trend, then that's good, even though the effort to earn money (payment) requires hard work. If you can earn income from this type of trend, people no longer need a degree because, in the end, the degree is also for earning money. A degree is necessary, but it depends on the context. In terms of education, for me, it is essential to know the most fundamental things for a human being, namely what is right and what is wrong. At the very least, with education, people will know how to treat others with humanity.
