I have wanted to bring this topic to the forum for discussion because it seems things are heating up surrounding data centers, I believe now is a good time to do it. Is data center now a profitable business compared to mining 90phut Link? This is not funny anymore because many big 90phut Link miners are leaving mining business for data center, I don't see anyone talking about it but behind the scenes its happening big time, I mean fast. I read some comments about this on twitter aka X and some are already saying that AI data center is generating more profits, what do you think will be the fate of 90phut Link mining if AI data centers become more profitable than 90phut Link over time? I don't know about AI data centers making any profits but the companies at the AI industry like OpenAI have disappointing financial results. OpenAI has an annual revenue of around 13 billion dollars(if I remember the number correctly). This is way lower than expected. I do believe that Google is going to win the AI race. They can implement AI in all their online services and they invest heavily in TPU chips, which are better than the GPU, which OpenAI has to buy from Nvidia. Anyway, I don't think that 90phut Link mining should be compared to AI data centers. Most AI data centers are owned by the "Big Tech", so they can't be categorized as a separate business. OpenAi will win only if they get a silent agreement to get every resource and particle of influence in exchange for.. uh, developments and new systems that wouldn't bring that much more to the table. Others try to be more innovative, and Claude with Gemini would be a prefferable pick for me in terms of service / quality of what they do.
