Main reason for this is that many people do graduate from colleges compared to past, which means that having a college degree isn't something special anymore. Our parents told us that having a degree would make it better for us to have a better job, because it was true when they were young, in 1980 if you had a college degree then you would have gotten a job easily, but in 2025 it is not that easy to do the same because everyone has it. This means you can't find a job just because you finished school, expecting a job to be given to you just because you did 4 years of school doesn't really make sense neither. What you can do is make sure you are hireable even before you finish college, get part time jobs, find some extra curricular, even do internships, basically work your ass off before you graduate so you have something more than just a degree to show to a potential employer.
