I agree that Dubai is vulnerable like all global city in the world but money will loose its importance only when there are total destruction such as nuclear war. If the damage is still scalable, its not always end with starve of rich people. Every part will still running although limited and every part of society will adjust and applied survival mode with reset on distribution system and logistic priority will be change. I see Dubai is strong enough with its sea, air access, political stability, financial capacity and also its international alliance. As far as i know, Dubai is a trading and financial hub, gold and commodity hub, global real estate hub and a safe haven capital. From information we get, Dubai is closely tied to the assets and interests of the top 3% of the population on the top of pyramid, with their access and money they will ensure this region will not destroyed. In case of war, thre will be possibility of logistic disruption, slower economic activity, price rise up but total collapse far to happen in Dubai. Stability mean wealth sustainability for this population, as main actor they will keep stability to keep their wealth. do not forget world always learn from history, when face national threat they will do supply chain diversification, nearshoring, strategic stockpiling and logistics line redundancy.
